The new Juxtaform floor-weights can be used for Space Articulator down-points as an alternative to permanent floor connection points. The 25 pound chrome-finished weights have
a cork bottom to prevent slipping on smooth flooring and can be easily moved for cleaning or for reconfiguration of a Space Articulator installation.
SPREADERS
Spreaders are lightweight fiberglass tubes used to hold two Space Articulator points apart. When an installation does not allow for side connection points, a spreader will push and hold the two points in oppossing tension eliminating the need for connection hardware at these two points.
Shown here is a single spreader used between two Space Articulators. Note that no wall connection hardware will be required.
A spreader might be used between the horizontal points of an Articulator triangle. Spreaders could be positioned at the top and bottom sides of a single square or rectangle, allowing for straight vertical connections to floor and ceiling. Warping of the panel can still be achieved by twisting the spreaders so they are not parallel to one another.
It is not our intention to define every Spreader oppurtunity, but rather to offer them as a solution in applications with restricted
connection possibilities.
